It was March 2014 when Brodie had his first epileptic seizure. Though it was not entirely unexpected, we resolved to handle it as best we could. What I didn’t know was the journey it kicked off would become increasingly complex and life-threatening for him.  While learning to live with an epileptic dog, I soon discovered other serious issues lurking in the background. They tested my faith and resolve in ways I didn’t expect. Yet, Brodie proved to be the brave one. He didn’t know he had epilepsy, heart trouble, and cancer facing him. All he wanted was to be a happy dog, chasing squirrels and living his best life. Through it all, Brodie fought back courageously and successfully overcame each challenge. Together, we walked a journey of uncertainty, but with God’s grace and guidance, our trials became our triumphs.
